Dr. Jon Blauw, PhD

Dr. Jon Blauw, PhD

Director at Inspire Rehab Center

  • US trained licensed clinical psychologist
  • Part-Time Faculty at the Graduate School of Psychology of Assumption University
  • 25 years clinical experience.
Dr. Blauw has experience working in the substance abuse treatment field in both the United States and Thailand. He has worked in hospital and clinical environments, applying different treatments with a wide range of clients, including Smart Recovery, and the 12 step model, as well as hospital dual diagnosis settings. Dr. Blauw is a strong believer in working with the individual in their existing condition and building strategies for where they will be in the future.

Eric, educated and trained in the United States, holds BA degrees in Psychology and German, Master’s degrees in International Studies, as well as Substance Abuse and Clinical Counseling. Eric is currently a PhD candidate in Counseling Psychology at ABAC University in Bangkok. This means he has completed all of his classes for a doctorate degree and is currently completing his dissertation. Eric has over 14 years of experience in addiction and mental health treatment. He uses a person-centered approach, relying on proven, fundamental therapeutic techniques like motivational interviewing, CBT, and advocating the use of self-help groups.

  • Sazumi is a licensed psychiatric nurse and social worker from Japan. Has many years working of experience working in various psychiatric settings in hospitals and rehab centers in Japan. Sazumi enjoys using therapeutic art activites as part of her approach at Inspire.

Licensed Counseling Psychologist

    Chase Conrad is a Counseling Psychologist from the United States specializing in individual, group, and addictions psychology.  He is currently completing his dissertation associated with a  Ph.D in Counseling Psychology from  Assumption University in Bangkok.

    Chase completed his undergraduate work with a degree in business administration from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, and then from Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida, with a Masters Degree in Psychology Counseling in 2012.

Addiction Counselor

  • She is currently a PhD candidate in Counseling Psychology at ABAC University in Bangkok. She is also a certified yoga instructor, with 7 years teaching experiences that trained by professional yoga instructors from USA, Canada, Japan, Singapore and Thailand. She specializes in mindfulness meditation and therapeutic yoga teaching including children and teen meditation and yoga as well. Moreover, she is pursuing Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) facilitator certification from The Centre for Mindfulness Studies, Canada. MBCT is a modified form of cognitive therapy that incorporates mindfulness practices such as meditation and breathing exercises combining with the teaching of  breaking away from negative thought patterns that can cause a downward spiral into a depressed state so clients will be able to fight off depression before it takes hold.
